Biography
Josip Atelj, M.Sc. is a medical physicist with many years of clinical experience in the field of radiotherapy.
He was born in Zadar, where he completed secondary school, and graduated in physics from the Faculty of Science, Department of Physics at the University of Zagreb.
He worked for several years as a medical physicist at the University Hospital Centre Zagreb, and since 2024 he has been part of the Medical Physics Department at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Croatia.
He has participated in numerous international trainings the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, and Switzerland. He also completed additional training at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in the US, particularly in advanced radiotherapy techniques (IMRT, VMAT, SBRT/SABR, SRS, and others.).
He is a member of the Croatian Medical Physics Association (CROMPA).
